You’re reading The Complete Infinite Crisis, a Comprehensive and Encyclopedic look through the universe-changing superhero event published by DC from 2005 to 2006. Shelfdust are proud to provide a complete overview of the story, and everything that happens in it. We’ve had to get some experts in though – there’s so much going on that needs to be explained!
Having just explored the world of Mongo, and the people who live there, we’ve decided to ask three questions about Timothy Dalton to Kelly Richards – a Welsh comic book critic who, by their own admission, “don’t know shit about Timothy Dalton”. Let’s roll, Kell!

Kelly! Timothy Dalton played the Prince in Flash Gordon. But what’s YOUR favourite Timothy Dalton role?
Kelly Richards: Mr. Pricklepants. No I will not explain myself.
Was he the Best James Bond? Where does he rank?
Richards: Listen, I have only seen one James Bond film all the way through and I didn’t much care for it, however that one had Daniel Craig in and he has the approximate charisma of a wet paper bag so that might not have been the best entry into the franchise. It also doesn’t give me very much to go off but I’m not going to let something like a complete lack of knowledge stop me. So who else are we working with?
Hmm.
Ok, Connery was a sack of shit. Moore was a tax dodger. Lazenby only got one go so he must have been crap. Brosnan is the one in GoldenEye on N64 so he’s probably ok. Timothy Dalton though, he’s Welsh. And I am extremely biased.
Therefore I think it’s fair to say that Timothy Dalton was the best Bond. Bond #1. Champion.
Speaking of rankings – where does he stand in the list of best people from Wales? Would you put him up high, or is he mid-table? Please remember his high-quality moustache when giving your answer
Richards: I mean he’s no Tom Jones but he’s way better that Tim Vincent. His moustache is incredibly high quality and it definitely bumps him up a few ranks but I still don’t think he’d make the top 10. Top 50 though? Why not.

Thank you so much, Kelly! I don’t know why we did this. But I do know that it was IMPORTANT. Next week, let’s head back to what matters: Flash Gordon!
